Vaccination-Autism Link Unproven
Imus unfortunately appears to be suffering from a case of Charlie McCarthy Syndrome, with his eco-crusader wife as the ventriloquist.
Don Imus is a moron… move along, nothing new here.

The http://www.aarp.org AARP says http://assets.aarp.org/real.aarp.org/ramfiles/content/money/social_security/kitchensink.ram “Our new 60-second ad puts the Social Security debate into clear focus. (Real player required.)
I refuse to install invasive software, so I don’t have RealPlayer on my machine. But I’ve seen the commercial enough times on TV. It shows a plumber telling a lady the kitchen sink is screwed up, so they have to tear down the house; trying to make a comparison to President Bush’s ideas on Social Security reform. As if the President’s plan to give a small percentage of Social Security withholdings over to individual investment accounts was equal to tearing down the entire system.
The advertisement goes on to suggest that “small changes” could fix the program, while offering no insight as to what the “small changes” actually are. Clear focus? It seems more like advanced alzheimers – if they can’t even remember their own commercial.
The sad thing is, none of the proposed plans would have any effect whatsoever on any current member of the AARP. So who are they trying to scare? And why?
Should you leave your computer on all the time, or turn it off when not in use?

Looks like I need to manufacture a few power cable extenders to neaten things up a bit more, but the new power supply looks awesome. Once that’s done, I’m also going to have to rework the door to show off all the pretty lights. Yeah, my inner geek is never buried too deeply, and this sort of work is always fun.
I now have a lighted power supply, four lighted fans, and a neon tube at the base – and with 500 watts of powered goodness, I can run it all without worry. Strange, maybe… but I like it.
Anyway, installing the new http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=PSVG-500&cat=PWR power supply, new http://www.geeks.com/details.asp?invtid=BLK-DW1620-BULK-N DVD-RW, wrapped and rounded cables, and other hardware and software maintenance is my excuse for not posting today… and now I’m watching the season finales of http://www.scifi.com/ Stargate SG-1, Stargate: Atlantis, and Battlestar Galactica, so not a lot of time to browse the news.
TGIF!
See ya tomorrow.
