Weather Channel Founder’s Forecast

Currently, John Coleman is a TV weatherman for KUSI News in San Diego. But Coleman is most famous for being founder of the Weather Channel. He has had a long career in predicting the weather, working for the first time as a TV weatherman during his freshman year in college in 1953. With this extensive background, we might take John Coleman seriously when he states bluntly that global warming “is the greatest scam in history.”

The really sad part is that even President Bush has recently started to support the global-warming fruitcakes.

Well, all of this is predicated on carbon being a dirty word. And the carbon we’re talking about is carbon dioxide. Now, it’s the last remaining cornerstone of global warming.

The hockey-stick chart, that ridiculous scientific fraud, got shot down. The pronouncements by NASA about global temperature averages going up have been corrected, and now we know the warmest U.S. decade was the 1930s not the ’90s.

Let’s not forget, the American north is being nailed with yet more snow right now… and it’s the end of April.

The forecast calls for 22 degrees and snow tonight for International Falls, MN; while not a record, it’s below the average for the month.

I’ve had the pleasure (and displeasure) of dealing with some true extremes in the customer service realm lately. In order to let these deeds be recognized (both the good and the bad!), I’m going to write a few articles about them in some sort of serial format. Some of these are national companies, some are local — for those exceptionally good, I hope to guide some business their way, or at very least help interested parties decide where to spend their hard earned money. For those exceptionally bad… I quite frankly hope to warn off potential customers, or at least help others identify such behavior before suffering through it as I have.

As always, representatives of these companies are more than welcome to submit rebuttals, which I will happily post in full if asked. Legal challenges will be met with the First Amendment of the Constitution of the United States of America. Every entry on this site is my opinion, to which I am entitled to have and write — if a company doesn’t like what I write, perhaps they’ll work harder to be nice to their customers.

There are also a number of people I’ve dealt with recently who were true pleasures to deal with… I probably don’t have enough material to write anything substantial about them, but they’re definitely worth mentioning: Mindy at Time Warner Cable, who took the time to find and correct the error of the previous CSR I had spoken with, and smoothed out my upcoming service move; The lovely lady at Jones-Onslow EMC who I only know by voice who similarly helped me arrange for new service at the house I’m buying; Renee at the local Nationwide Insurance office, who not only provided the best quote for my homeowners and auto insurance, but was also great fun to chat with for the hour or more it took to get all the paperwork done (hi, Renee! Don’t forget to register to vote!); and of course the great folks at the Jacksonville NC Mailboxes Etc, who are always friendly and great to deal with.

Since I’m noting both good and bad… if the lady from ONWASA (Onslow Water and Sewer Authority) reads this… stop being such a damned grouch!

(Edit: I met the grouch… and she’s every bit as grouchy in person as she was on the phone!)

Hillary, you’re a dumbass. You really need to start doing better if you’re to help us keep Barack Hussein Obama from invading the White House.
Speaking of dumbasses, (has BHO EVER said ANYTHING of SUBSTANCE?), why are so many Americans once again so eager to place their futures in the hands of a smooth talker with no basis of leadership? No one learned anything from Carter and/or Clinton? My own sister told me she intends to vote for that particular dumbass, for NO REASON she could name.

Hey, John McCain was nowhere near the top of my list, either… but he’s only a mildly poor choice when you stand him up against HRC or BHO. All three are liberal shitheads, but at least McCain acts a little conservative – some of the time. The other two are socialists through and through, and frankly I can’t afford to support more “programs” to support even more people who aren’t willing to help themselves.

By the way, that “giggle” of Hillary’s can peel paint. Keep the volume low, or you might find out the hard way. If you wear a pacemaker, mute it completely and turn on your closed-captioning… the FDA should issue warnings.
