Late Friday Night

In the last year, how many times can you recall the phrase “in a statement released late Friday night” in reference to some embarrassing tidbit released by the Obama administration? Too many, certainly. This morning, it was the new muslim envoy to yet another radical islamic nutjob group (why do we seem to have so many of these now?). He “regrets” what he’s been quoted as saying in support of some terrorists. But he’s got a high ranking job in Barry’s house of jokers. Yay. Go team.

With shit like this going on in the White House, we’re supposed to be mad at Rush for saying he wants Barry (’s policies) to fail?

My version goes like this: “I don’t want this president to cause my country to fail (and will fight against that end), but I definitely want his efforts to radically change the country to fail. Hard.”

January 22nd, 2010

Was that a deadline?

Make no mistake (and damn do I hate that phrase), I have no desire to see the maggots housed in the cells in Guantanamo released anywhere in the world, let alone inside the continental United States. That being said, I just cannot resist the urge to point out another failure of Barry and Co.

Obama orders Guantanamo closure

Thursday, 22 January 2009
Mr Obama signed the three executive orders on Thursday, further distancing his new administration from the policies of his predecessor, George W Bush.

He said the Guantanamo prison “will be closed no later than one year from now.”

So Barry, it’s been a year. This ill-advised plan looks to be going about as well as your economic schemes. And healthcare takeover.

PLEASE keep up the good work!

Saturday Night Politics

Nancy kept the House in session late on a Saturday in order to twist enough arms to get her nearly 2000 page POS passed.
Harry is planning to do the same to the Senate this weekend.

Does anyone still believe this health care fiasco is above board, proper, legal, and necessary?

BOHICA, America.

This is the kind of shit your hopey-changey vote earned you. I hope you’re proud.

Tainting the Pool

It occurred to me on my drive to work today, that Obama’s statements yesterday would only make it harder to put terrorists on in New York City. He referred to, basically, ‘a fair trial and a speedy execution’. No lawyer in the world would neglect to bring this up at trial.

A quick check now reveals I wasn’t the first to think of this (I doubted I had been, but hadn’t heard it brought up yet). Here’s Andy McCarthy from NRO:

More Obamateur Hour

In a meeting with the press in China, President Obama said that Khalid Sheikh Mohammed would be “convicted” and had “the death penalty applied to him” . . . and then said he wasn’t “pre-judging” the case. He made the second statement after it was pointed out to him — by NBC’s Chuck Todd — that the first statement would be taken as the president’s interfering in the trial process. Obama said that wasn’t his intention. I’m sure it wasn’t — he’s trying to contain the political damage caused by his decision — but that won’t matter. He has given the defense its first motion that the executive branch, indeed the president himself, is tainting the jury pool. Nice work.

Of course, if the entire purpose of this exercise has nothing to do with justice, just another show to placate the masses (that’s you and I, in case you’re not keeping up), then this makes perfect sense. Maybe they’ve already arranged for some “nutcase” to shoot KSM on the courthouse steps. Wouldn’t that play nicely on the evening news – and maybe be timely enough to distract us from the health care/bailouts/cap’n'tax issues.

Bread and circuses, anyone?

Embarrassing

Dear Mr. President,

When are you going to stop being such an ass-clown and start performing even the most basic diplomatic tasks in the manner prescribed? This is not how you gain the respect of the world. I’m seriously starting to believe this is some sort of “alien race agrees to pass on the secrets of the universe if the U.S. will belittle themselves before the world” prank. Have the Goa’uld come through the Stargate with this deal? Don’t trust them, you moron!

Most extensive…

Somehow I doubt it, but I’d say it’s probably a good start.

Corruption lands ex-Louisiana congressman 13 years

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Prosecutors called a former Louisiana congressman’s corruption the most extensive in the history of Congress. His punishment delivered a similar message.

William Jefferson, who famously hid $90,000 cash in his freezer, was sentenced Friday to 13 years in prison for taking bribes, the longest term ever imposed on a congressman for bribery charges.

This is the same asshole that had the National Guard driving trucks to his house during Katrina to move his personal property instead of helping the citizens. Lovely. And somehow President Bush was the bad guy? Amazing.

Bill – I hope your life in prison is miserable.

Disconnect

Obama’s Frightening Insensitivity Following Shooting

This was something I was hoping would be commented on. Kind of weird to read it on an NBC website. From Chicago.

But instead of a somber chief executive offering reassuring words and expressions of sympathy and compassion, viewers saw a wildly disconnected and inappropriately light president making introductory remarks. At the event, a Tribal Nations Conference hosted by the Department of Interior’s Bureau of Indian affairs, the president thanked various staffers and offered a “shout-out” to “Dr. Joe Medicine Crow — that Congressional Medal of Honor winner.” Three minutes in, the president spoke about the shooting, in measured and appropriate terms. Who is advising him?

Let’s not add in that “Dr. Joe Medicine Crow” was awarded the Medal of Freedom, not the Medal of Honor. There’s a difference. It’s big.

The executive Dear in the Headlights. Fantastic.

Giving away the farm

Got this today from my Congressman:

Washington, D.C. – Today, U.S. Congressman Walter B. Jones (NC-03) sent a letter to President Barack Obama inquiring why Commerce Secretary Gary Locke was given authority to authorize the export of United States missile technology to the People’s Republic of China, and asking the President to disclose the nature and extent of conversations about equipment and technology transfers with Chinese Communist Party and government officials.

“If there have been any discussions between the United States government and China about missile technology exports, Congress and the American people need to know about it,” said Congressman Jones.

Congressman Jones’ letter to President Obama is as follows:

Dear President Obama:

It has come to my attention that last month, you delegated your function as President of the United States to the Secretary of Commerce, Mr. Gary Locke, under section 1512 of the National Defense Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1999. That authority granted Secretary Locke the power to certify in advance that any export of missile equipment or technology to the People’s Republic of China is not detrimental to the United States and will not measurably improve their missile capabilities.

Our own Central Intelligence Agency has reported that a majority of China’s long range strategic missiles are aimed at U.S. cities; therefore the potential export of any missile technology to that country is problematic. Given that Secretary Locke has just traveled to China this week, this delegation of authority raises a number of serious and disturbing questions.

Why did you delegate your presidential powers on a decision so vital to the safety and security of all Americans? Specifically, why did you delegate this national security decision to the Secretary of Commerce and not the Secretary of Defense? What qualifies the Secretary of Commerce to certify that a particular missile technology being exported to China is not detrimental to US interests? Has your administration had discussions with officials of the Chinese Communist Party or the Chinese government about transferring United States missile technology to the People’s Republic of China? If so, what missile technology have you discussed exporting? Why would the Chinese want to buy U.S. missile equipment or technology that does not measurably improve their capabilities? And finally, what promises or assurances might have been made by officials of the Chinese Communist Party or the Chinese Government in exchange for Secretary Locke potentially allowing the export of missile technology to China?

The implications of these above questions are obvious, so if the administration is not contemplating the export of missile technology to China I would certainly welcome any clarification, and look forward to having what is precisely being contemplated shared with Congress and with the American people.

Obama appointee falls on his sword

Now if the President would just quit appointing his socialist, racist, radical buddies to these positions of power, we could get on to the business of the nation.

White House environmental adviser Van Jones resigned Saturday after weeks of controversy stemming from his past activism.

“On the eve of historic fights for health care and clean energy, opponents of reform have mounted a vicious smear campaign against me,” Jones, special adviser for green jobs at the White House Council on Environmental Quality, said in a statement announcing his resignation just after midnight Saturday. “They are using lies and distortions to distract and divide.”

I love that quote… “they are using lies”.  Well, if his own words and actions are lies, then yes.

Like a kick to the head

You know, the whole argument over whether or not you want the government to make your life choices for you is one thing.  I volunteered for that sort of life for twenty years, so I may be mildly hypocritical when I say I don’t want that for everyone else.  Remember, though – I had a choice.  But that’s not what brings me here this evening; it’s the most blatant example of an OUTRIGHT LIAR in the service of the socialized medicine crowd I could ever imagine.

Saw what you want about the “amateur” journalism practiced every day on blogs across the internet, here’s a perfect example of why we *need* bloggers:

Roxana Mayer: I’m Not a Doctor But I Play One at Town Hall Meetings

[This post follows up on a previous post in which I questioned the credentials of a woman at a Texas town hall meeting who claimed to be a doctor, but turned out to be anything but. She is a graduate student in social work -- oh, and an Obama delegate. Read on for more.]

Blatant.

Outright.

LIAR.

And of course, Ms. Lee just eats up those phony credentials (watch the video towards the end of the article).  Almost as if this were the perfect person to introduce the plans to implement more preventative care and hire more primary care physicians… almost… almost… perfect!

And they accuse those aligned against these efforts to give the government more control over our lives of being hired guns.

** speaking of Ms. Lee… what an arrogant piece of work she is:  Witness the way she rambles over the interviewers trying to get her to discuss her despicable conduct during a recent town hall meeting:

Report me?

Come on, you know you want to.  Don’t make me turn myself in.

“Facts are stubborn things”

There is a lot of disinformation about health insurance reform out there, spanning from control of personal finances to end of life care.  These rumors often travel just below the surface via chain emails or through casual conversation.  Since we can’t keep track of all of them here at the White House, we’re asking for your help. If you get an email or see something on the web about health insurance reform that seems fishy, send it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

I’ve posted several times about the stinking lies being put out by the White house regarding this health care bullshit they’re trying to sell. All I ask is that you do your part and report my subversive ways!

Hey, if I was in Germany in 1939, I’d pretty sure I’d be arrested by some SS goon squad for voicing my opinion… why should 2009 be any different?
