Joseph Wilson? This isn’t news.

Live broadcast of his little press briefing. He has the nerve to talk about “senior government officials” being truthful – I guess that doesn’t apply to ambassadors? I don’t give a damn about Karl Rove. If President Bush fires him, I won’t notice (except when I see/hear all the posturing in the media, of course).

World’s Most Depressing Book!

I was standing in line at the grocery-store checkout today, and an interesting headline caught my eye. No, it wasn’t “The Moon is going to Explode in SIX DAYS!”, it was “World’s Most Depressing Book Causes Dozens of Suicides!” Of course, we already know about this book, I didn’t need to open the rag to …

Everything we hear harped by the media, the politicians, anyone… is that there was no connection between Iraq and Al-Qaeda. The 9/11 commission said they couldn’t find anything (of course that can be blamed on the piss-poor intel …

Terrorist “How-to” guides. Nothing new.

It never ceases to amaze me how easily people are amazed. Forty years ago, radical college students in the US and abroad, intent on violent protest as opposed to their more civil contemporaries, shared information on how to create bombs and where to place them to best make their anti-war statements heard. This information was …

Apparently trying to gain attention on the opening day of the G-8 summit, someone set off at least four bombs in attacks against London’s transportation system. Three points in the “underground” (subway) and one bus were attacked. 37 people are reported dead, with hundreds wounded. No word yet on who did it or what statement …
