I’m not xenophobic. If you’d bothered to read my words, you’d see my ancestry. I know the country depends on a constant trickle of LEGAL immigrants to grow and thrive. That in no way correlates to the FLOOD of ILLEGAL immigrants that are more burden than boon, far more trouble than they’re worth, and amazingly bold in their demands to gain the rights of law-abiding citizens.

Moronic opinions like the one you’ve displayed here FAIL to understand that the broken valve that allows the flood of ILLEGAL immigration is not conducive to growth, it’s an invitation to the death of our way of life.

You also have obviously failed to look into the words of the "new" Star-Spangled Banner – it is not the National Anthem of these United States. The fact that it was translated into Spanish, with some of the meaning altered because the words didn’t work out right is enough reason to condemn the "translation", but changes to make political statements are unforgiveable.

"Native" Americans are all immigrants, too, by the way. They were just here a bit longer than most of the rest of us.

It’s amazing how xenophobic our country is becoming. Your ancestors (unless you are 100% Native American) immigrated to this country once upon a time.

Technically there are no "new words" to the Star Spangled Banner; the existing words were translated into Spanish. I don’t personally know what difference it makes. Learning a new language can be an eye-opening intellectual exercise.

I don’t think total amnesty is an option, but neither is "rounding them up." Such an ignorant suggestion gets us nowhere.

Illegal immigrants should not be forced into anything. They should be given options to become legal. Perhaps if our borders were more secure, we would not have these problems.
