    I don’t think I understand what this cartoon is trying to communicate. Maybe I’m just missing something obvious, trying to read into it too much… :blush:

    On the other hand, if you’re not familiar with the ceremony of a military funeral, you’re forgiven. That’s what the image represents, the flag that draped the coffin of a servicemember behing presented to the wife, with a child reaching out as well. Presumably the child’s hand is a reminder of what is left behind.
