9th Circus declares lying, cheating, stealing “protected”

Pretty hard to believe.

PASADENA, Calif. — A three-year-old federal law that makes it a crime to falsely claim to have received a medal from the U.S. military is unconstitutional, an appeals court panel in California ruled Tuesday.

The decision involves the case of Xavier Alvarez of Pomona, Calif., a water district board member who said at a public meeting in 2007 that he was a retired Marine who received the Medal of Honor, the nation’s highest military decoration.

Only on the left coast would a court rule that’s it’s okay to falsely claim heroism – the typical San Franciscan politician (or political appointee) has no idea what heroism is. I eagerly await the SCOTUS ruling that permanently reinstates this law.

It’s not the military’s policy.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. — Lawyers for a gay rights group asked a federal judge Friday to impose an injunction halting what they called the military’s unconstitutional “don’t ask, don’t tell” policy.

Congress created the bill, President B.J. Clinton signed it into law.

Don’t blame the military for U. S. Law.

Lynne Stewart is off to the big house for ten long years… Judge nails the bitch to the wall for demonstrating “lack of remorse.”

Awesome.

U.S. District Judge John Koeltl sentenced Stewart, 70, today in New York. A federal appeals court in November ruled that his first sentence didn’t reflect the seriousness of her actions.

The judge said his sentence was “sufficient but not greater than necessary” to punish Stewart, who “abused her position as a lawyer” and said she would do it again. Making such statements showed a lack of remorse, he said.

Guilty as charged.

Treason used to bring the death sentence. This ‘lawyer’ is 70 and horribly out of shape, so maybe that’s what this really is.

Happy Independence Day

Take note of how many times you hear “happy holiday”, or “happy 4th of July” today. The latter doesn’t really bother me – it’s been the ‘accepted mistake’ for quite awhile – but the former is sheer politically correct bullshit.

See if you can confuse the masses by using “Happy Independence Day”. I know I’ve gotten some strange looks by saying just that. Also few knowing smiles, as if that’s what the person would have said were it not for “company policy”.

Walking on the U. S. Flag at Walmart

To his credit, the manager (Terry) at the local Walmart who responded to my complaint was courteous, understood my anger, and voiced agreement with my position. To the discredit of Walmart, he quoted me their response to the effect of “it is not as significant to everyone else.”

He did tell me that he asked ‘corporate’ that his store not receive any more items of this type. It’s a start.

Especially disturbing was his mention that no one else had complained.

I asked Terry to get me the current inventory and a cost. I wonder how hard it will be to raise enough money to buy them out. This is Jacksonville, NC. I’d like to think that alone means there are enough flag loving Veterans here to make that an easy task. Maybe everyone else is just waiting for someone to take the lead.

I wonder if the county will make me get a permit to burn a thousand flip flops.
