Clark says Saddam death penalty will unleash ‘catastrophic’ violence – Yahoo! News

Ramsey Clark, a former US attorney general who is one of
Saddam Hussein’s lawyers, said that any death sentence against the former Iraqi president would increase violence in the strife-torn country.

“It seems clear that a guilty verdict will set off catastrophic violence” and that a death sentence would be even worse, Clark told a Washington press conference.

“It’s hard to know how many Iraqis, dozens, hundreds, thousands, will die because of the sentence,” he said.

Ok, so is this moron speaking as a lawyer obligated to defend his client, or as a traitor to his country? Maybe he hasn’t poked his head outside the courtroom lately to see that thousands of Iraqis are killing each other and dying already, and apparently few could give two shits about the deposed dictator that stands ready to meet his long-awaited fate.

The circus has been going on long enough, and Ramsey Clark’s little team of irate legal advisers can claim credit for plenty of it. Saddam Hussein needs to be tossed back into a little hole, or dragged out back and shot in the head. Soon.
