I’ve been a longtime reader of http://www.lockergnome.com Lockergnome, and enjoy the variety of writers and their many varied topics. Lately, I’ve also taken keen interest in reviews of weblog software, since Greymatter’s future has been uncertain for quite some time.

Today’s review from Peter Barbosa http://channels.lockergnome.com/web/archives/20050222_blogging_software_round_1.phtml [link] http://jonathanmurray.com/images/peterbarbosa-lockergnome.jpg [img] was a comparison of http://www.wordpress.org WordPress vs. http://www.blogger.com Blogger, and included a link to http://peterbarbosa.com/ Peter’s very own WordPress installation. Sadly, sometime between Peter’s posting and today’s publishing, Peter’s site was hacked, emptied, and left as a painful statement about WordPress’ security, or lack thereof http://jonathanmurray.com/images/peterbarbosa.com.jpg [img].

I’m still looking for a viable alternative; I’ll be watching WordPress’ site (and Peter’s) for updates on this security breach before I consider it any further. For Peter’s sake, I hope the backups are recent and the hole quickly and easily patchable.
