More Wilson/Plame un-news

It’s just too entertaining to leave alone.

Surely this is the work of the http://madmikey.mu.nu/archives/humor/karl_rove_evil_geniu.php evil genius that is Karl Rove… NOTHING is more interesting right now than the steady insidious picking at the scab that is Joe Wilson and “secret agent” Valerie Plame.

Here’s what I came across today, gathered from various sites:

While Plame may have been a NOC agent at some point in her past, her hubby (Wilson) clearly states that the last time either of them worked overseas was in 1997. (From hubby’s convenient book on the topic)

Hubby also states in later interviews that wifey wasn’t a clandestine agent at the time of the Novak article, confirming that there was nothing to expose.

It appears that http://www.thenation.com/blogs/capitalgames?bid=3&pid=823 David Corn, not http://www.townhall.com/columnists/robertnovak/rn20030714.shtml Robert Novak, was the first reporter to provide details regarding Plame’s clandestine background, so why isn’t he being dragged over the coals? (That’s a rhetorical question, anyone paying attention knows this whole thing is a politically motivated non-issue)

So how did this story get to where it is? That’s pretty easy… Joe Wilson, the loyal Democrat that he is, saw the opportunity to take an otherwise meaningless statement (“his wife, who apparently works at the agency on WMD”) and turn it into a scandal to incriminate the Republican President’s staff. Politics.

Two years and millions of investigation dollars later, the details are coming out. We can only hope that the end result will be the public humiliation of the scumbags responsible for wasting our time and tax dollars.

Perhaps this is a good time to mention another radical idea of mine… http://www.judgejudy.com/Home/home.asp Judge Judy on the Supreme Court! Think of it – every case resolved with some good old-fashioned scolding. Strange though it may be, at least we’d all be treated to some entertainment in exchange for our wasted millions.
