How do you justify the mass murder of your own countrymen, your fellow muslims, your family, your friends, your people? Do you soothe your conscience by calling them collaborators? Do you lump them in with the infidels as part of the “illegitimate” government, thereby making their deaths your guaranteed path to paradise? Or do you just close your eyes and think about all those virgins Allah is about to bestow on you?

I obviously don’t get it. But then, I don’t get any religiously motivated mass stupidity; especially when it leads to the death of innocent people.

The final, sad truth of the matter is that people like this will never learn. They have been so severely brainwashed by the religious rantings of their handlers that they believe they are doing “god’s” work. The only way this will end is with the removal of at least the top few layers of the illness – giving the blind faith masses a chance to wake up and see something other than what has been force-fed to them their entire lives.

Religion is not the answer here, it is indeed the problem.

In the words of one oddball “prophet” of an entirely different sort:

“Imagine there’s no heaven,
It’s easy if you try,
No hell below us,
Above us only sky,
Imagine all the people
living for today…

Imagine there’s no countries,
It isnt hard to do,
Nothing to kill or die for,
No religion too,
Imagine all the people
living life in peace…

Imagine no possesions,
I wonder if you can,
No need for greed or hunger,
A brotherhood of man,
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…

You may say Im a dreamer,
but Im not the only one,
I hope some day you’ll join us,
And the world will live as one.”

  1. I think the "god" they are killing in the name of is not the God of the Bible. In fact he is Allah, a totally different "god". I think in the song "Imagine" it is something that will come true, in the tribulation times. It won’t be pretty when everyone gets along, they will be killing all the Christians..

  2. Well, religious fanatics of every flavor have been killing people en masse for as long as religion has been a recognized element of civilization. Christians are most definitely NOT excluded from that neat little grouping.

My point is that it does not matter which name you plaster on "god". When you use religion to justify murder, you’re demonstrating the very root of what is wrong with religion in general.

Blind faith… is a problem, not a solution.
