Customer Service – There’s still hope out there!

So I’m not real big on product (or vendor) endorsements… but this one I just have to mention.

I sent a holiday floral arrangement to my mom for Christmas via 1800Flowers.com. Not thinking too hard about it, I filled in the little card section with “Merry Christmas Mom!”… and let it fly. Well, Mom got the arrangement on Christmas Eve, as expected… but Mom has 4 kids (and none of them under her roof anymore). There was nothing to indicate which of us it had come from, so apparently she called 1800flowers to ask. I have no idea of their policy on things of this nature, but they apparently didn’t tell her… that sounds bad, but it’s not. They instead called me! I had a very nice voicemail from a customer rep stating “Mom got her flowers, but she doesn’t know who sent them. Please give her a call and tell her”.
