NASA Smacks a Comet…

… to see what comes out. Doesn’t this sound like the kind of things we all did as kids? These guys take childhood games to the extremes, to say the least.

Half the world screwing around fighting over concepts that were made up as methods to control populations through fear, faith, and intimidation… but mankind marches on in the effort to learn the real mechanics behind the realities of our universe. It’s a helluva time to be alive.

And just to show even something as cool as this can be distorted by the whackos in the world, check out this little article about the http://news.yahoo.com/news?tmpl=story&u=/nm/20050704/od_uk_nm/oukoe_odd_russia_horoscope Russian Astrologist suing NASA because Deep Impact has changed her horoscope.

  1. Not only does Deep Impact sound to me like the kind of thing we did as kids, so does screwing around fighting, not to mention controling populations through fear, faith and intimidation.

But it is how we learned and how we are learning.

The question for me is, what is the lesson of the the controling and the fighting, not to fear and hate?

At least the lesson of comet Tempel 1, that at least its part of the original matter of the solar system is more H2O than we suspected, is new.
